After graduating from UCLA and gaining valuable experience in the financial services industry while at Northwestern Mutual for nearly 3 years, Michael co-founded Swift Chip in 2009 with Ken May. Michael’s intent was to combine his passion for helping people with the IT expertise of his business partner, Ken May, and turn IT into a business asset, rather than the burden it’s often thought of. This merging of philosophies and understanding that Swift Chip is essentially a customer service company expected to deliver reliable service in an industry plagued by unreliable service, is how Swift Chip has thrived and developed the reputation for taking the “SH” out of IT!
Primarily, Michael’s role is to develop business, establish partnerships in the community, and to cultivate a culture where Swift Chip’s people can learn and excel, which makes for satisfied clients. He happens to be fortunate to work with a capable team of IT experts who share a customer-centric mindset and a passion for technology. Together, they’ve grown Swift Chip from a company working out of a small apartment in Los Angeles to a company with offices in Santa Monica and Ventura which has served 1,000+ SMBs in those communities . Ultimately, Swift Chip’s clients stick with them because clients can count on Swift Chip’s expertise and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty whenever they’re needed.
When Michael isn’t taking the “SH” out of IT, he enjoys spending time with his large family and friends, live music, supporting the arts, breaking a sweat, collecting stamps in his passport, impatiently waiting for Dodgers and Lakers’ championships, promoting literacy as a board member for Reading Opens Minds, and perfecting the art of napping on weekends.
Swift Chip is your IT partner in business growth and profitability. We love our clients—and here’s why they love us too:
Get this NEW release book on Amazon that basically takes the wisdom from some of the most well-known writings about warfare, political intrigue, martial arts, history, and strategy and applies it to modern-day cybersecurity. The tools and techniques have changed, but the primary principles remain the same in protecting modern data systems.
Buy NowWe believe that “small things do count”, so we have built some initiatives in our business to help others less fortunate than us. One of these is that we’ve partnered with an organization committed to planting trees and saving lives in the process. Eden Reforestation Projects reduces extreme poverty and restores healthy forests by employing local people to plant millions of trees every year. The way it works, is that whenever we finish working on a service request for you – our system sends a quick 15 second survey (yes, it honestly takes 15 seconds) to find out how we did and to make sure we’re keeping our support levels world class. For every completed survey, we plant 8 trees (through Eden Reforestation Projects). Here’s a quick video to see the impact they’re making. It’s our goal to plant 24,000 trees in 2022 and we’ll need your help.
